The Tragedy of Lady Lavender
The Tragedy of Lady Lavender is an interactive story/ puzzle game centered around the culture of Hera and their historical figure Lady Lavender. The player attempts to learn more about Lady Lavender by searching through documents in a database. However, for each search term only the two most recent results will be shown. By finding new documents in the archive, the player will explore Hera’s complex relationship with tradition and issues of gender and sexuality. The story is set during a time where there are riots and protests for LGBTQ+ rights, and the mysterious figure of Lady Lavender is used to promote heteronormativity. However, soon it is clear that not everything about Lady Lavender is as it seems.
Note: The web version sometimes miss formats the beginning text. The Windows version does not have this problem (Mac not tested).

Thank you so much for making and sharing this game! I loved finding the right keywords to discover new info on my own, it made me feel quite smart :D (even tho I only managed to find 14 webpages out of 15). The letters between Lily and Olive made me tear up a bit... There's so much queer history that was erased, and i kind of wish it was as easy as a simple web search to uncover it all! I'm happy that their story ended on a happy note, anyway - I began to care about them as if they were real, and i think that says a lot about your storytelling!! (in a good way!!) Thank you again for this game, I'll be thinking about it for a long while <3
